Welcome to the Lower Merion Soccer Club (LMSC) Lightning U14 Boys travel team page. The Lightning are a highly competitive and diverse travel team that has the aim to become the best team in Region 1. We have won the Delco League and PA State Championship in previous years and will continue to compete at the highest level throughout the year. Currently we are ranked #2 in Eastern PA.
Our team is for those who want more stability and team spirit than one finds at the Development Academy with training that is equal, or possibly exceeds DA standards. During 2010/11 we plan to enter all the major tournaments including Disney and Dallas; then during the summer of 2011 we plan to travel to Brazil or Europe.
The team is coached by the highly regarded head coach Paul Ferreira. We also have an assistant and a goal keeper coach
