A message from the Team Manager...

Parent/Soccer Player,

Welcome to the Lower Merion Soccer Club (LMSC) Lightning U17 Boys
travel team page. The Lightning are a highly competitive and diverse travel
team that has the aim to become the best team in Region 1 and compete if not
win the US Youth Soccer National Championship.

Currently we are ranked #2 in Eastern PA and #15 in the Country. We
compete in the Region 1 Premier League where we have a 12-2 record in the past
two seasons finishing second in the 2012 U15 regular season and first in the
2013 season. In 2012 after posting a 6-1 regular season record we then went on
to win the semi-final game and unfortunately lost the final game in pk’s to a
very strong team from Massachusetts. In 2013 once again we went 6-1 and finished
first, however, this time we were upset in the semifinal game by the eventual
champion, Manhattan PSG.

Our team is for those who want more stability and team spirit than
one finds at the Development Academy with training that is at least equal to DA
standards. And you can still play for your high school team.

The team is coached by the current Haverford College Coach, Shane
Rineer and assistant coach, Thom Schauerman, currently the varsity coach at the Shipley School.

If you are a dedicated and highly skilled team player who is
interested in joining our team please contact the team manager, Jim Tricolli,
at james.tricolli@rbccm.com to arrange a tryout.

If you are up for the challenge, I look forward to hearing from

Jim Tricolli
